Hello everyone! I am a teacher in the dual language program at an elementary school in Beloit, WI. I teach two class of students throughout the school day. My students love reading! We read in English and Spanish.
We are in desperate need of reusable book pouches!
Each student has a plastic ziplock bag with books in it. Our plastic bags rip, tear, and just do not last! We are constantly throwing them away and having to buy new ones! This is a huge waste of resources, plastic garbage and money to buy the bags. Because we read our books everyday, multiple times a day, we would love to have reusable book pouches for each student!
Please help us purchase book pouches to save money and the environment!
The use of book bags is daily! Students use their individually leveled book bags several times each day. Students that finish their work early, then grab their book bag and begin reading. Each student loves reading books they have selected based on their own interests.
By donating to our project you will not only help the students to organize, store, and use their individually leveled books, but also help keep hundreds of plastic bags out the environment!
Students will be able to simply organize their reading materials. When children are exposed to a variety of books, their learning potential is endless!
