I am blessed each morning to walk into my classroom and see the smiling faces of my students. My classroom is a warm, loving, safe environment where my students get to learn through fun hands-on lessons. We encourage each other. My students love learning through technology!
I have 19 amazing boys and girls in my class.
They are very eager to learn. Each student in my class has a special quality to offer. They come from many different backgrounds and ethnicities. Our school differs from others because we have over 300 students in kindergarten alone. There are 13 kindergarten teachers. My students live in a rural area where 100% of our students receive free lunches. My students are very eager to learn new skills. When information is presented through hands on learning, they seem more alert and absorb it all like little sponges. They are very close and consider each other a "classroom family". They are always helping each other and looking out for one another.
My Project
If I had a set of Sanwin eWriters I could help students learn to write. My students can practice letter formation all the way to full sentences. They will also be able to use them when doing math problems like learning to write numbers, drawing shapes, and even when solving addition and subtraction problems. Having the Sanwin eWriters I would be able to do all of this without having to buy expo markers for whiteboards or worry about replacing my whiteboards every few years.
I can also work on specific needs for each specific child without having to make a copy of something for them to work on.
Ewriters will last much longer and save us money in the long run, plus they are super cool and the kids will love working on them!
Young students learn by doing, and these boards will allow them to respond to questions and discussions in a fun way. Students will look forward to our lessons because they know they will get to have an interactive learning experience. Because our district is high-poverty, many students do not have access to technology outside of the classroom, so these board would also give them the opportunity to experience interactive technology at an appropriate level.
