My students are fantastic; kind, polite, and ready to learn each day! We live in an extremely rural, low-income area with not even a place to call our "hometown." Almost all students receive free or reduced meals, but that doesn't stop us from achieving big goals!

We live in a very rural community surrounded by woods and farmland, and we love our outdoors. We are proud of where we live and how we have grown to overcome many challenges. Our district is fairly new, and the goals we have achieved are astounding. Even at 80% free and reduced lunch rates, we have been ranked second in our conference for student achievement. Low income does not equal low expectations for our students with themselves, teachers, and parents!
My Project
Have you ever tried giving dry erase markers to elementary students? First, there is the cap, that is almost impossible to remove. Writing on the tables, floors, their clothes. It is very hectic. With the LCD writing boards and pens, students can write words, letters, or math problems, without having to use dry erase markers, boards, and erasers.
How great to have reusable resources time after time, and class after class.
These will be used during whole, group small group and individually to ensure that students are getting concepts in reading, writing, and math. Students will use these daily as a great tool for learning in our classroom!
