Boogie Boardin' Fun!

My Students

The students I teach at our elementary school are English Learners. These students have a background of diverse language, culture, education and socioeconomic statuses. We have children at our school that were born in the United States, but they have been isolated in their language groups until entering school. We also have children that come from other countries with absolutely no English or knowledge of American culture. My goal is not only to teach them to read and write in English, but to acclimate them to the American culture while still preserving their own language and culture.

Most of my students live in run-down trailer parks where there is not much room to buy enrichment materials or even think about Internet service or devices.

My Project

My students are ESL students that come many different language and socioeconomic backgrounds. They do many activities using Brain Spring's Phonics First and Structures programs to built reading and vocabulary skills.

These LCD electronic writings boards will be a part of their everyday phonics and vocabulary interaction, while also being a fun way to engage their senses!

Kids love tablets and anything to draw them in and make learning fun, I am totally on board with!

I also love how it will take less time to clear the boards and move on to the next activity by keeping the lesson flowing and the students engaged!
