My students come from a variety of backgrounds and family dynamics, many of them from military households. These students and families are realizing the benefits of a home - school connection and are creating a great dynamic in the school. These children value education and deserve nothing but the best.
Regardless of their background we strive for our students to show GRIT, a distinct combination of passion, resilience, determination, and focus.
With this we hope it will allow them to maintain the discipline and optimism to persevere in their goals even in the face of discomfort, rejection, and a lack of visible progress for years, or even decades.
My Project
In the classroom it is important to track students progress to ensure each student is getting what they need. Written tests are not the only way to do this. A quick game or activity where students hold up their answers is a great way to assess learning while having fun at the same time.
Students will be able to share their work with out the hassle a dried out expo marker or making a mess with the dry erase board!
Each child will have their own Boogie Board to write and share their answers. Students will spend more time learning and less time searching for a working expo or finding and eraser.
