Help me give my students each a board game!
I am hopeful to get each student their very own board game for Christmas, so they can take it home and play with their families!
My students are the most resilient 5th graders from a Title I school in Oregon. They receive 100% free breakfast and lunch each day. Many come from high-poverty homes where resources are limited. Meeting their educational, physical, social, and emotional needs is crucial this school year!
My 5th grade Oregon students are tough, creative, so very hardworking, and deserve a holiday gift!
This year is definitely a challenge in many ways. Students are working hard and doing their best, but still face many challenges. We want to make sure their needs are being met in every way!
One way to help them feel important, special, and part of a team is to get each of them a board game to have as their own to play at home with their families! We are always trying to create opportunities for our families to have bonding time at home.
Thank you for this opportunity to support my students in this hectic 2021-2022 school year! With your help, I will have the resources to help my students academically and socially and to nurture their home life during this holiday season!
My Project
My Oregon 5th graders love board games! I noticed this last year after returning from learning online, they really wanted to be together. Last year was nearly impossible with all of the COVID protocols for it to work, but this year we only currently have to stay 3 feet a part, so games are the coolest thing to do now in my class!
They will be so proud to have something to show off to their families, and it helps me to be hopeful that they have some quality time with their loved ones.
Thank you so much for your generosity and for showing my students how to choose kind!
