My Students

My students crave knowledge. Learning with hands-on activities is more meaningful than using a textbook. For my students, being able to test and redesign a possible solution is a far better experience in the learning process.

My students are very diverse.

Our school is located in a low income area of Las Vegas, Nevada. Being a magnet school, we like to take a different approach to the learning process. Giving students the opportunity to reach and answer by experimentation using the design process.

My Project

Giving my students the opportunity to explore different parts of the globe using the Google Expedition VR systems would be a game changer for them. Many of my students haven't even left the state, let alone the country. By exposing the students to virtual field trips using the Google Expedition VR kits, students will have opportunities to reach vast corners of the world otherwise unattainable. This experience will provide my students to new found awareness and respect for diverse cultures, technological advances in learning. If I can't bring the students to the Coral Reefs, I can now bring the Coral Reefs to them.
