This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hello, I am a second-grade teacher that works in an impoverished school. Most of my students have greater challenges to overcome than others. I want to provide a creative learning experience for my students to show them that they can achieve anything that they put their minds to.

The majority of my students are reading at a level or two below where they should be and I need materials to enhance their learning experience.

My students come from varied backgrounds and I want to tailor their learning to meet their needs. Our budget does not quite cover what I need to do this and any donation would be appreciated.

My Project

I want to be able to create digitally interactive lessons in my classroom. A Promethean Board will allow my students to be engaged in lessons on the big screen. I want to have compelling lessons instead of using a plain whiteboard and dry erase markers.

Technology should be fun and interactive.

My students will be able to use the Promethean Board to show their work using digital manipulatives to answer questions. My class will also be able to compete using interactive games to solve problems as a team on the board. One example of a lesson would be our Win, Lose or Draw game. This is where two teams compete to answer a question for points. The Promethean Board would add the ability to use digital components to answer the question and keep score.
