My students need an iPad mini 3 to help supplement instruction as an added resource for students to utilize. Our students have limited internet within our building,

We are a magnet school within our district. Our mission/theme is medical professions. The students have to apply and be accepted to attend. Our students come from throughout the city and must take several buses to arrive to school. Many students start their day at 5:30 AM on public transportation.
The students that attend our school want to go into the medical profession and most will major in some form of medicine in college.
All content areas of instruction have a medical theme/foundation within their curriculum. My students learn the body systems and introduction to medical terminology. Our students are motivated to learn, however, most have limited access to technology outside our school. Even our classrooms have limited access to technology for the students. Adding this iPad3 mini tablet to my classroom will be better access to the outside world and will give students the ability to work independently.
There are many interactive sites on body systems. This iPad3 mini tablet will give students direct access and immediate feed back on materials associated with the different body systems as they study them. I will be able to create work stations that students can work at independently or with a partner, Our curriculum is project based, therefore this mini tablet will be a great asset as a tool to assist students with creative ideas for their projects. Students will also have the freedom to enter the classroom on lunch breaks, before the school day and after school.
The iPad3 mini tablet will open doors for students and give them the freedom to develop skills that they will use throughout life.
The Internet access will allow immediate feedback and availability that they do not have at home due to the limited incomes of our students families.
