This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school serves students in grades kindergarten through eighth and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers and a safe learning environment. As a result, we are consistently one of the top-performing schools in our district.

My students are in the Special Education program.

They are between the ages of five and seven. They have learning disabilities, behavior disorders, autism or communicative disorders. They all come from high poverty houses. Many of the students have been in the same room for a couple of years. They know each other well and work very well together.

My Project

My class has a new Smart Board! The only problem is that we are always looking to borrow someone’s laptop to access the board. If we had a computer to keep permanently in our room, then all of our problems would be solved. We could do so many more activities and have fun while working. Many of my students do not have access to any technology except for when they come to school. We would love to be able to use all that the board has to offer throughout the day in our classroom. So many activities can be accessed through the computer. Thank you for your support.
