My students are the best! They are kind, good-hearted, excited to learn new things! Sometimes the challenges we face in life are not in our motivations, but in our circumstances. At our school, sixty percent of students come from families below the poverty line. The school and county do a wonderful job of providing reduced lunches and free breakfast to these future American leaders, but I'm hoping that through this site, we can do a little more!
I want for my students, exactly what you want for yours...for them to receive the best educational and life experience as possible!
With this donation, my students will be able to practice team-building skills and cooperative learning experiences, while doing something they love to do...playing games! These games will be used as an extension piece in the classroom, rewarding students who have gone above and beyond the call of duty, while also giving struggling students an incentive to work toward.
In Their Own Words
We want to get games to use in our classroom. We can use it for a lot of cool things. We can play and learn how to get along with each other. We can also try to win the reward by doing all of our work and helping each other.
Our leadership group will make a chart for how we could earn this reward. We will take turns being in charge of the chart. And whenever students do their work and do extra good student actions, they will have a chance to use the reward before or after class that day.
This will help us to be better behaved and get all our work done in class. It will also help us to get along better and be better people to each other. Some times people are mean, but they just need a little push to be nice to each other.
