My Students

The children and young adults that attend the Milwaukee School of Languages cover a diverse range of backgrounds and ethnicity that makes OUR school the gem of MPS that we know and love. My students show a drive daily to want to understand the world around them and as there Teacher I use my enthusiasm to help them get the knowledge they desire.

My students specifically are 9th grade through 12th that I see for Biology and then I get the pleasure of seeming them again for AP BIO.

Finding new and fun ways to teach them and make content relate to my students is my number one goal.

My Project

Science is a hands on process! With these board games I'll be able to expand on the content that I teach my students by allowing them to take the wheel and "control" evolution, better understanding survival of the fittest and natural selection. They'll be able to see the effects plants can have on one another when competing for the requirements of photosynthesis, and finally they will be able to think about bio mes and the needs of organisms on this planet and better grasp why Climate change is a problem.

All of these games allow me to give the students fun hands on experience that when paired with appropriate content knowledge leads to a better understanding of Biology while also enjoying school and having fun.
