Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 4th grade honors students in a beautiful, rural community. Most of my students come from low-income households, with some migrating between two agricultural areas.
My students work hard but they also like to have fun while they're learning!
We are so blessed to be in a school that encourages teachers to create engaging, fun lessons that make students look forward to learning. I'm so proud of my hard-working kiddos and can't wait to see them soar this year!
My Project
This year, I'm so excited to use board games as an incentive for students to answer review questions or create content-related work examples. Now that we're so technology driven, kids don't get much of a chance to do things like play board games.
Picture this: your team answers a question correctly and now you have the chance to capture some marbles in a round of Hungry, Hungry Hippos or remove an organ from the game Operation!
I can't wait to see my students competing for points by showing what they've learned! Donate to our classroom games project and help us make activities, like content review, come alive!
