Help me give my students board games like checkers, chess, Connect Four, Uno Cards, Snakes and Ladders, scissors, tape, colored pencils, and crayons for indoor recess.
My superstars are hard-working, respectful, intelligent, motivated, and eager to learn as much as they can each and every day. Despite the challenges their everyday lives away from school might bring, they come in every day with positive and energetic attitudes. Seeing their smiling faces greet me every morning is one of the many reasons I love my job. My school is a wonderful place dedicated to providing students with an environment to grow on an academic level.
My Project
We live in the northeast where the weather is unpredictable, especially during the winter months. When it rains, snows, or is just too cold outside, students are not allowed to have outdoor recess.
It would be great to have board games and arts and craft materials to play with and create something when they have to stay in the classroom.
The math games, board games such as chess, checkers, Connect Four, Uno Cards, Snakes and Ladders, scissors, crayons, markers, and tape will give my students opportunities to be engaged with each other while also engaging in problem-solving and decision-making strategies.
