Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My first grade class is composed of 24 eager and bright young minds. Our school is a Title I bilingual program school where a large number of students qualify for free or reduced-price meals and speak another language other than English. They come from different ethnic and social backgrounds. I have the privilege of educating inquisitive, thoughtful, and intellectually curious 6-year-olds.
My students love to learn and love to show others what they've learned.
Despite the challenges they face at home, I am eager to provide them with creative and meaningful learning experiences where everyone is heard and everyone is made to feel empowered and important.
My Project
Please help us replace our broken speakers and iPad chargers! With 24 students in our classroom, it is often difficult to hear music or any other digital support clearly. This portable speaker will all my students to hear our material and transport the speaker from place to place without disruption. The chargers will also replace the broken chargers that are used daily. The power strip will allow for charging to take place anywhere in the classroom!
This portable bluetooth speaker will help bring books, music, and videos to life for my 1st grade students!
This speaker will give us access our technology throughout the day during math, language arts, science, and social studies, whether it be an instructional learning video, an audio book, or to music during our PE or transition time!
