Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students at my school are bright and love to learn! I see my students' knowledge building and connecting after each and every lesson. They deserve to have classroom materials that will help them to connect to lessons and standards.

Our school doesn't always have the funds or resources to provide materials for our extra-curricular clubs.

In addition to being a 5th Grade teacher, I am also the Junior Beta Sponsor. During our Junior Beta meetings, our high-achieving students have the opportunity to participate in challenging and rigorous activities. These students also deserve access to materials that will stimulate their young minds!

My Project

These Bluetooth Cubelets will allow our current Cubelets to be programmed on an computer or ipad, and will allow my students to learn to "code"!

We currently have two sets of Cubelets.

In order to properly learn how to code on a computer or ipad, we need the Bluetooth Cubelets to the students can build "code" to instruct the other Cubelets in what to do!

The students will learn how create mazes, build instructions for coding, increase their technology skills, be more fluent in computer reasoning, and increase their team-building skills! All of these skills will help them to be better learners and citizens of the world.
