I teach business and technology to some of the most creative, curious, and innovative students. My goal is to provide tech experiences to our students to promote 21st-century learning and skills with STREAM.
My students are very innovative and creative individuals.
Students in our district often have limited technology experience. My students will begin to discover and cultivate their creativity as they begin to apply their unique gifts and talents and allow them to become the innovators and global leaders of tomorrow with the stories they will be able to create and tell.
My Project
My students love to create during my Introduction to Computers and our Computer Programming Classes. During these times, they are allowed to explore new ideas and techniques to express themselves. Many students have requested that I offer creating Pixel Art in not only my creation and technology classes, but in my business classes as well. Two years ago, I was working as a STEAM enrichment teacher and my students were introduced to Bloxels.
I plan on having my student use Bloxels video and Star Wars game kits in our micro-business projects.
Groups of 3-5 students will work collaboratively and explore creating video games. Students will have the opportunity to control the characters, environments, and challenges in their group in creating video games. Having a full creative set of Bloxels will allow my students to break the walls of limitations with my students in their games and their projects and even expand to other classrooms such as Genius Hour and Multi-media.
This will enable students to create their own projects while learning functions and mathematical equations at the same time. This will allow students to be more creative by using technology and learning.
