Help me give my students a garden that is user-friendly and sustainable by providing a place for them to sit (picnic table), large raised bed for growing squash and pumpkins, a rain barrel, and compost bin.

Garden club students are curious, motivated, and enthusiastic learners.
I teach English language learners in grades K-5 and I'm a Master Gardener. I started a school garden to encourage a love of nature. An after school garden club is open to students in grades 3-5 but classroom teachers are encouraged to use the garden as well. We grow a variety of fruits and vegetables and have a pollinator garden as well. I am surprised and impressed by their gardening knowledge and creativity. The students enjoy harvesting the produce and cooking with it. Some of the food has been served at school lunch. They love to get dirty and dig in the dirt! They are a diverse group of students coming from a wide variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Despite their differences they work together to bring the garden to life.
My Project
The school garden is growing in popularity and more students want to take part in creating and maintaining the garden. The equipment I am requesting will help to create an inviting garden that is user and environmentally friendly and welcoming to all students. The picnic table will provide some much needed seating for students as they plan their garden beds and harvest seeds. The composter will help store the plant debris and allow us to add nutrient rich compost to our soil. The rain barrel will help to conserve water and provide easy access. The garden bed will allow us to grow some of the larger vegetables that take more room to grow and are harvested in the fall when children are in school.
All of the items will allow for more teachers and students to visit the garden and provide for hands-on learning that goes along with their plant-based science curriculum.
