My Students

I want to impact my Junior High Track and Field team positively by providing them with necessary equipment to practice and compete. Very few of our students have exposure to track and field prior to joining our team. Their opportunities are limited by the time we have during the season and our limited opportunities to coach one on one. We would like to improve their experience by providing them with the equipment necessary to make every minuted during practice count.

My Project

Our student-athletes will use these discuses and shot puts to practice skills specific to competition in track and field. Our goal is to ready student athletes to compete at the next level while instilling positive work ethic and mindset with regard to competition and sportsmanship. With the time constraints we have and the lack of exposure many of our kids have to the sport, it is imperative that we use every minute of practice to developing appropriate skills for competition. The ability to compete with other schools will build character and self-esteem within our school community.

Education is about teaching at every opportunity.

We need to work to make every educational experience one of high quality. Having the necessary equipment to achieve this goal is crucial when working with student athletes. Students will use the shot puts and discuses in practice to build the skills that will accomplish this endeavor.
