Help me give my students a Microsoft Surface Go that they can utilize in small group centers and one on one to practice academic skills as well as enhance their technological literacy.
I teach two kindergarten classes at a Title I school. My students come from very diverse backgrounds and for many Kindergarten is their first exposure to English and a classroom setting. My students speak English, Spanish, Chinese, Urdu, and Marshallese. Many of my students come from limited English proficiency homes, and half of them come from very low socioeconomic backgrounds.
My students need concrete and hands-on experiences so they can experience things for themselves in order to build up both their experience and language bases.
They need to be able to interact with one another and work together to experience early success that will give them the confidence for great achievements for the remainder of their school career.
My Project
By getting a Microsoft Surface Go in our classroom, our students will enhance both their academic skills, as well as their technological literacy skills!
Using a Microsoft Surface Go in our classroom will greatly enhance our goal of moving towards Blended Learning!
My kindergarten students will be using this Microsoft Surface Go in small group centers. They will access academic programs on this as well as use the Microsoft Surface Go individually for different activities. Along the way, they will increase their technological knowledge and real world application!
With the addition of a Microsoft Surface Go the skills of all of my kindergarten students will be strengthened in a fun, hands-on, engaging, and motivational way! What five or six year old wouldn't love to get their hands on one of these!
