Research has proven that we need to teach our students healthy habits at an early age and that exercise provides more oxygen to the brain, thus making it work better. Our school has a dedicated group of thirty boys that arrive early to school for our Blazin' Boys Run Team.
The boys in our Blazin' Boys Run Team are in grades 3rd-5th grade and come from a variety of backgrounds.
One thing all the boys have in common is that they have a good attitude, put forth a solid effort, and want to have fun while running. At each meeting the boys practice stretches, discuss healthy choices, and reflect on their personal goals.
My Project
Day one the boys will participate in a practice run and set goals for their performance on the run team. The students feel motivated as they move toward their goals. The shirts requested will help our team feel united and safe at practice and as we participate in 5Ks. Our team is entering a 5K and having shirts that match will not only create team identity, but they will also allow us to quickly identify team members in large crowds for safety purposes. The 5K our boys will be participating in will be the Autism Societies' Puzzle Run. The boys will be educated about autism and how to show empathy towards students with special needs.
Donations to our team project will not only promote healthy habits and unity.
Thank you for considering this project and supporting our boys.
