I teach 6th and 7th grade students in an urban school setting. We are a Title I school and all of our students receive free and reduced lunch. Our students are economically disadvantaged but still are eager and excited to learn. They love Physical Education and being physically active.
Our students have a passion for exercise and physical activity but are in need of new and safe P.E.
equipment for various games and activities. They love learning new skills and content and do the best they can to adapt games and activities with the current equipment we have. They are creative, energetic, and have a strong enthusiasm for learning in Physical Education.
We are lucky and fortunate enough to have a large gymnasium in our school for our students. We love to spread out our learning activities in stations and provide enough space for our students to exercise safely. It can sometimes be a challenge to project our voices across the large space so all of our students can hear us and understand class expectations and learning activities. We would love to have a speaker system to play music and motivate our students to exercise during Physical Education class. We also would like to have a speaker system to use for school dances and other great incentive activities.
A speaker system is essential to improving the quality of education and provide outstanding programs and activities to our students.
Our students would benefit a significant amount from being able to improve our delivery of instruction as well as have motivation to work out and participate in class activities.
