My students need Breakout EDU kits to foster and promote critical thinking skills to make learning engaging while collaboratively working together as a group.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are special because they come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Regardless that my students may come from poverty, may be homeless, have a single parent in the home, or not knowing where their next meal is coming from, they are eager and ready to learn. The majority of my students are on free and reduced lunch and they may not have the financial opportunities and means to further explore their thoughts and ideas. I want to provide my students with different learning materials to help guide them into becoming lifelong learners regardless of their situation and/or low socioeconomic background.
Each student has the ability to learn with a variety of engaging materials and, I strive to be able to provide them with special opportunities to help them deepen their love of learning to become lifelong learners and critical thinkers.
Being able to have access to the smaller things and make a larger investment in their education, will help them feel a sense of achievement and encourage all of them to exceed their own academic goals.
My Project
It is important for students to understand the value of working together as a team to unlock the challenges of learning with the breakout kits. These breakout kits will help the students achieve a higher level of critical thinking skills that can easily be used across their curriculum. As they encounter the breakout kits, the students will understand how important thoroughly important it is to synthesize and evaluate learning concepts which they will implement to unlock the breakout kits by solving the challenging brainteasers.
These materials will make a difference in the students' learning by allowing them to build their confidence by making meaningful contributions as an individual in a collaborative group setting, while successfully using critical thinking skills to solve challenging problems.
It is important for students to know how to work cooperatively well with others in ways that will promote positive learning, and enrich their lives which will be an invaluable skill that they can use across the curriculum and throughout their lives as lifelong learners.
