My Project

I am requesting books for my counseling classroom library that focus on Black History Month. My entire school will benefit from the addition of these children's books in their classroom lessons as well as when they browse my shelves when in my room.

Black History Month books are very important to me to allow all students to see themselves represented on my bookshelves.

Additionally, I hope that non-BIPOC students will learn about the experiences of others and create deeper empathy and more pronounced worldviews.

I work in a very diverse school and I am always looking to deepen my shelves to encompass the lived experiences of all individuals.
