My Project

Our theme for Black History Month is Black Excellence through Education. We are focusing on all students engaging in literature through the lens of a Black protagonist.

Our library has a lot of texts but we want to put more of these books inside the classroom and in the hands of our students.

How amazing would it be to see students reading stories about Black children, activists, engineers, scholars, and more?

We want to remind ALL of the students that Black stories matter. We can only do this by ensuring we give them opportunities to engage and develop!
