My students need Botley The Coding Robot and Challenge Accessory Pack to help challenge them and ready them for the 21st Century learning environment.
This project expired on August 5, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are eager to learn and gain as much as they can from the world around them. These little people can see and learn about our world from a different perspective.
It is my goal to give my students opportunities to experience as many learning moments as possible within our school and to prepare them for their generation’s technology-driven world.
My school is STEM certified and a Title I school with the majority of our students on free and reduced lunch. About 37% of our students are ESOL (English as a Second Language) coming from many different countries where English in the home is a second language being learned here at school. They are curious and creative with a variety of learning abilities; from learning disabled and speech disabilities, to above grade level abilities. The children are thrilled to explore the STEM challenges presented to them in all subject areas.
The Botley Coding Bundle will give my students the opportunity to become critical thinkers while challenging themselves to learn to code. Students will be able to work in teams with this second Botley Coding Bundle. This will enable them to begin to use those skills that these youngest students will be needing in their futures. These materials will be used in conjunction with our STEM instruction.
The Botley bundle will allow my student's opportunities to cooperate with each other while designing challenges together both using their mathematical & science knowledge.
Having these enriching critical thinking tools will offer my students ways to explore and give them a head start to continue their ability to code.
