My Students

My students are as diverse as the grandest library in the world. They have this incredible thirst for knowledge, and a hearty appetite to immerse their imagination in an invigorating text. I have the honor and distinct privilege of teaching students from various backgrounds, and every single one of my kiddos brings curiosity, adoration, and enthusiasm for reading to our classroom community. I love them for all that they are today, and who they are working to become for the future!

My Project

My students are currently having an absolute blast in fiction literature circles! They are in a small group, reading a fictional story, taking on a discussion job, and taking ownership of their reading by discussing their part about the book with their group each day! And they are LOVING it! In a day and age where technology is everything to kids, curling up to a good book is a scarcity. With that said, my goal is to keep them passionate about books, especially as we move into non-fiction biographies! Help my readers enjoy their learning about people- past & present!
