My Students

I have a room full of curious eight-year-olds who are hungry to connect with the world. Our biography unit is an absolute favorite exploration for my students. They seek out biographies over and over again, hungry to satisfy their curiosity about everyone from historical figures to pop icons. Biographies are a constant source of inspiration and connection to the world around them, helping them to imagine the possibilities their own lives may hold.

My Project

My curious young students are looking to connect to their world. Biographies provide them the important opportunity to see the impact others have made in the world. When they see examples of courage in figures like Malala Yousafazai or Greta Thunberg, they awaken to the possibilities that life may have in store for their own futures. When they see that significant history is being made by people that reflect their own cultural backgrounds, they come to believe that anything is possible. Please help inspire them to reach their highest potential.
