Help me give my students real life science experiences. We talk about and discover ecosystems and the balance of species. Having the opportunity to incubate eggs and start chickens will increase the wonder and excitement for our lessons.
My students come from low income families that have a high impact on their learning. Students struggle with learning in ordinary ways. I have to think outside the box to help them reach their great potential. Being able to provide equipment that will advance their education is my goal.
My students are excited about learning for the future, and studying their world.
They love to investigate the world around them through phenomena research. They love technology and are easily adaptable to the world of technology around them. They are inquisitive learners. They thrive on an educational plan that includes technology and the skills they need for the global market of the future. They also thrive with hands on learning. They are investigators when it comes to a project and looks at different ways to solve problems given to them. They are constantly asking why and experimenting with what would happen if... I am always amazed by their learning.
My Project
When we talk about biodiversity in a balanced ecosystem. we discuss all of the organisms that live in an ecosystem and what balance looks like. We do research projects on different species and invasive species that threaten ecosystem balance. Students get excited when we have hands on experiences that lead to more learning.
Having live chicks in the classroom will help students wonder what a balanced ecosystem is for the chickens.
They will discover predator and prey for chickens and develop an understanding of how fragile an ecosystem really can be.
