Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our class is composed of 23 bright, caring and curious third graders. They’re part of a close, family-oriented school community. Since being together since kindergarten, they’ve learned to out for one another and treat each other like family.
They love school and they work hard everyday so they can be college ready.
My students love to learn about the world around them and never cease to ask questions.
Our goal this school year is to be better, lifelong readers as writers!
My Project
My students love reading! Each day they are working on building their reading stamina by setting goals to read for a certain amount of minutes. Students select their books each week to read during independent reading time and their goal is to read more and more each day.
With these book bins, students can store and take their books to any comfy spot in the classroom.
We currently do not have any book bins so students are storing their books in bags and/or desks. The book bins will allow students to gather their books quickly and begin reading right away, giving students more time to read by making easier to move around the classroom with their bins.
