Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have come a long way since their year of at-home learning. We have forged ahead tackling foundational skills in reading, writing, and math. And my students are always eager to learn! We have built our classroom into a strong little community. They take pride in making it their own.

This project gives my students access to independent math learning experiences.

Our math manipulatives will be housed in an assortment of containers that are small enough to be handled by these little learners. They will be able to clearly see the math tools that we have available, use them when needed, and put them away on their own. This will continue to build independence and agency in my students. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to purchase a variety of pre-made templates for instructions so that my students can begin using these resources right away!

I teach in a small district with families that come from a variety of backgrounds. As we continue to recover from the COVID school closures, I want to make sure my students have the materials they need to experience a well-rounded 2nd-grade year.
