Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is a place where students can explore another place, time, or world through literature. Students this year will spend their time learning critical thinking skills and the art form of connecting writing to reading.
My students are eager to improve their reading and writing skills.
By supplying the students with bins that contain pens, pencils, correction tape, sharpeners, and scotch tape, they will have all materials they need to complete any assignments.
The students are 7th graders from an inner city school in Connecticut. All the students receive free breakfast and lunch. Some students even receive food packages to bring home over the weekend.
My Project
Storage bins will be stationed at each group with pencils, pencil sharpeners, pens, tape, markers and correction tape. With these bins at hand, students will be able to write, correct, and complete writing assignments that are assigned.
These storage bins will contain supplies to ensure each student will be prepared and able to learn.
Many times students come to class without paper, pencils, or pens. These storage bins will allow children to use these materials to do their very best work. They will not have to worry if they forgot materials; learning is key!
Many of the students who come unprepared to class are the ones who struggle academically. By taking that worry away, they could focus more on their education.
