I teach in a Title I school where more than half of the students enrolled are below poverty level. We are in an area that was hit by a devastating tornado a couple of years ago and the community has come together to rebuild, but we still have students that are in need.
These kids are resilient and so many truly want to learn.
So many lack the support they need to really immerse themselves in school. There are things that all students need in order to become lifelong learners. These are the things that teachers often struggle to provide.
My students will use these binders and dividers for multiple things throughout the year. They will be used as Interactive Notebooks as well as a place to keep all the handouts they will use throughout the year. They will keep these in the classroom throughout the year. They will also need paper, pens, and pencils.
These supplies will help to ease their transition from Freshman to Sophomore year since they won't have to worry about buying school supplies.
They will be more organized and will always have the supplies they need in the classroom at all times. In addition, they will never have to search through all their things for a pen or pencil again!
