My students are scientists, authors, readers, explorers, leaders, and artists. They inspire me every day with their compassion and understanding. They seem to grasp the bigger picture with amazing clarity, and always humble me with their unique perspectives about the world around them.
I'm always challenged by their thinking - and teaching them to read, lead, and think is one of the greatest privileges of my life.
I'm thankful to lead them early in their life-long walk as leaders, learners, and future world changers. My hope as their classroom teacher is that they will leave my classroom with a sense of who they are, a love of learning, a passion for books, and thoughtful perspective about the world that they live in!
My Project
My first graders need a literature / paper organizer to help keep their writing organized while they are working through the writing process. The binding machine will allow the students and I to bind their writing books to help them be actual series authors.
My students love to write and having the ability to publish their books will push and motivate them even further in our writing workshop!
The additional resources will enable our classroom to continue to be an environment conducive to cultivating writers and readers! Students who are organized are better able to function and flourish in their learning!
