Bind Me!

My students need a binding machine and supplies to make our own books and create portfolios!

My Students

Our population is very diverse. We have many nationalities, cultures and abilities. We are a Title I school and in a very low-income community where most children receive free lunch. We have an in-depth special education program, a gifted and talented program and a dual language program. My computer lab is used by students in Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade, and many teachers too!

An elementary school classroom is like no other place in the world.

We are a home for our little ones for seven hours a day. Teachers not only provide an education in Math, Reading and other school subjects; we provide stability, love, acceptance and support for our amazing little people. We educate the whole child. Personally, I strive to teach values, love and acceptance in my room as well.

My Project

Do you remember that awesome feeling the first time you published something that you wrote yourself? Remember the excitement when you got to share your work? My students love to share their creative work with classmates and parents but there is always so much paper! A binding machine will allow us to take our completed computer class projects and turn them into books that we can share with others! How awesome would it be to take a class' illustrations of the Underground Railroad, or the Oregon Trail and create a bound collection to share?

My students need a binding machine and supplies to create long lasting books of our published work.

Students can also bind their portfolio work into an easy to share collection, and transport it using this binding machine and materials. Thank you for supporting my students, our project, and children everywhere!
