Help me give my students with extra energy or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder the ability to focus and concentrate while in class a pedal exerciser.
The students I have the joy of teaching are such hard-working children! They push themselves to do their absolute best, and they continue to work through problems even when they become difficult. The 100+ sixth grade students I have the privilege of spending my days with making me a better teacher and person each and every day. My students come from all walks of life, but after a few weeks in my classroom, they understand that their outside circumstances do not decide what an education can do for them.
My Project
These portable exercise bikes will allow students with extra energy or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder the ability to focus and concentrate while in class. Students will be able to expend their energy while still focusing on the lesson at hand. Students will be able to quietly move without distracting those around them. Students are already given the opportunity to stand at the tall desk, sit in rolling chairs, or sit on the floor, but this allows yet another choice. Students will be able to pedal their bikes at any desk and those around them will never be distracted by their movements. Currently, some students are distracted by the unintentional movements of students in the classroom who have this extra energy.
