Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a Kindergarten/First grade special education teacher. I work with very low income population. My wish is to have a rug that is welcoming and spacious. Rug time is a very important time throughout the day. We use our rug for morning meetings, read alouds, shared reading etc. I believe that since we do so many activities on the rug that children should have a kid friendly rug that can assist with their learning. This rug will provide a comfortable place for students read with their buddies or by themselves. I believe that the classroom should be a home away from home and this rug will provide the warmth and comfort for my students. Thank you for reading my request.
