My Students

We are a Title I school with a population of more than 600 kids. We have a large population of students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. We also have a large ESL student population. Our students are special because they are learning to be leaders. They are engaged and motivated learners who seek out the next best adventure in a book. They are imaginative, creative, spontaneous, attentive, enthusiastic, and brilliant when given the resources they need to succeed!

My Project

Ozobots are a good fit for students and offer a flexible programming environment that is easier for younger students to navigate. Ozobots can be used in retelling stories, connecting math problems to solutions, and going through the different steps of a scientific process.

The options for integration into learning with Ozobots are limitless!

With Ozoblockly, you can select the experience level at the top of the coding toolbox which limits what functions are available so it’s easier to differentiate for pre-readers and younger learners. Ozobots also work with markers. Ozobots are a great, low cost option for schools and expose students to the idea that sensors can be used to transmit information to control a robot.
