These students are the youngest and most eager learners of our school! They enter my classroom with great anticipation each day, hoping to get a firsthand look at what our day has in store! They have an amazing zest for learning and for exploring new and innovative activities every day! This not only makes my heart smile but also drives me to keep on keeping on this crazy path called teaching.
I use a thematic approach to teaching my students, and I create learning centers based on early childhood readiness skills.
My students learn primarily through play and hands-on activities. Our room is never quiet because I encourage the kids to use their language during their work and play.
My Project
Every four-year-old kindergarten teacher knows how fast our young learners plow through the basic supplies when exploring, creating, and playing in school! I have two classes of four year old children so I have to always double my planning when it comes to prepping for projects and activities.
The colorful tissue paper and buttons will find their way into the hands of my students when they work in our arts and crafts center and the kinetic sand will be used for hours in our sensory table!
The bean bag cd will replace my outdated record that I have been using for years when we use our bean bags in gym class!
