Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Second graders love to help around the classroom. They want to please the teacher, their classmates, and are just so engaged. It is the best grade to teach! My kids love to learn and are always asking questions.
Every student deserves a place where they can peacefully select a book and explore the pages in an engaging and stimulating classroom environment.
I want my kids to know that just because Forbes Magazine has listed the city of Stockton as the Most Miserable City in America (twice!), it does not mean that they can not achieve their dreams. I have high expectations for my second-graders, and we look forward to what the year ahead will bring.
My Project
This project is requesting four Big Joe Bean Bag Chairs to use in our new Library Reading zone. We need a way to corner off and separate the area from the rest of the classroom.
These bright and colorful bean bag chairs will be a great addition to a library zone that will help to engage and stimulate the second-graders in my classroom.
We work on plenty of reading skills in the second-grade. These chairs will help my students to find some peace and quiet time to practice fluency, phonemic awareness, and decoding skills. Thank you for helping my very FIRST DonorsChoose.org project come to life!
