My Students

The kindergartners in KMA are some of the silliest, kindest, most curious kids around! Their favorite part of our classroom is by far our classroom library area! In addition, they love math games, crafts, and all kinds of make believe and play scenarios to keep things interesting.

My Project

Kids love having stories read to them! While they are enjoying a great book, they are also making connections between spoken and written words, developing a larger vocabulary, and developing a love for reading.

The materials in the project will give my students the option to have time and space alone to hear a favorite story, or listen to a story with a group of friends during center time or other free choice times during our school day.

Comfy seats and portable CD players make this an option that can be used anywhere in our room. With a large selection of books and CDs in our classroom, this is a center that will be loved all year, and by future classes as well!
