My Students

Sometimes we think of low-income schools as being places without rigor and challenge. Or, even worse, schools without gifted kids. That's not the case at my school. We've got bright, gifted students that happen to come from challenging homes and communities. Many resources that we receive are created to help struggling students catch up to their current grade-level. While this is so important, we also need resources to challenge our most gifted learners, too! These kids yearn for a challenge and I can't wait to provide it to them!

My Project

Kindergarteners learn through play, and that is why I'm asking for this Tiny Polka Dot game. I'd like a copy for every classroom so that it can be used everyday.

Tiny Polka Dot is a fantastic way for kids to think and play with numbers.

There are 16 different games that can be played with these dot number cards and they are all fantastic. Several of the games are geared for kids who are 7 years old or older -- these games are the ones that are best for the kids that catch on quickly to mathematics concepts and need a challenge. Some of the games are geared towards students who are 4 or 5 years old and these games can be used for kids who need remediation with number concepts.
