I am a kindergarten teacher at PS 104 in Brooklyn. I have 25 enthusiastic learners. They love to read and to be read to. Our "balanced literacy" program includes a time for shared reading with the class. I would love to get some great classic big books to read to them. I found an excellent collection of books that includes "Caps For Sale" and "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" to name a few. These books are written by famous authors and can be used in a variety of ways. They can be read to the children when we do author studies, reading comprehension, basic sight words, and many other responses to literature. The collection I found includes 6 wonderful big books. I hope you can help my little readers grew into great readers with these big books. Thank you for reading my proposal.
