My Students
My 21 first graders are passionate and have such an incredible love for learning. Our charter school is filled with dedicated teachers and incredible students. We focus on the fundamentals and take pride in the success that is shown year-to-year.
Being in a low income area, my students are faced with extra challenges, but yet they continue to show up each and every day willing and excited to experience the opportunities that lie ahead of them. Even with longer days and more work, the students of our school never cease to continue striving to be the best. Our facility that houses all K-2 students, holds such promise for the young minds that walk through the day every day and every year.
My Project
Having a library full of a variety of books is essential to making sure students have a passion for reading. Big books allow for student involvement and fun to be included during our reading time. Big books also allow for students to view the variety of ways in which a book can appear and be experienced. I do not want my students to miss out on any opportunities or experiences.
Books allow for adventure and curiosity within a young mind. I want to foster the growth and share the love of reading in every form possible. By having these fun additions to our classroom and library, we can keep every day new and exciting.
