My Students

We are an economically disadvantaged school in Virginia in which 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. We are also a federally designated Title I school. Most of the students in my classroom come from lower-income households with only one parent.

We work together every day to build each other up and learn from one another.

I am amazed by their love of learning and all the academic growth they achieve in just one school year.

I want to continue to spread this love of learning to my students!

My Project

Trying to share a wonderful read aloud with students using a big book is amazing, except when you have nowhere to display the book. My kindergarten classroom does not have an easel or a display place for big books. My students love to listen to stories and read along.

I am asking for a big book stand.

This big book stand includes storage for hands-on activities for the whole group as well as a whiteboard!

The students would benefit from being able to see the book at eye-level. I could use the white board for whole group lessons and store materials that would be needed for the day in a convenient and easy place.

Please help my classroom purchase a sturdy big book/whiteboard stand! This is a classroom item that will be used daily.
