Help me give my students some bean bags and giant comfy pillows to use in the classroom for our reading corner as well as to watch our morning videos and special activity times on the floor.
My classroom is in a high poverty school district where 90% of students receive free and reduced-lunch. Due to their special needs, my students may not attend their designated school and therefore receive transportation to our school within the district.
My students all are very unique with varying levels of need and abilities.
Providing a loving and caring environment that meets all of their needs and makes them feel welcome and loved is what I try to achieve on a daily basis.
They are in grades kindergarten, first, and second and spend the majority if not all of their day with me. Their needs and interests are constantly changing so I try to vary things for them to keep it exciting while also keeping a good routine and schedule for them.
My Project
Please help me to replace the old, flat bean bags and pillows that are in our classroom! For the past three years, my students have had to pile two and three bean bags on top of each other for them to be comfortable enough to sit on the floor. By getting these new bean bags and pillows, my students will each be able to have one and not have to worry about piling them on top of each other or folding them just so they are comfy.
Who doesn't like a big squishy pillow!!??
With these big bean bags and pillows, my students can relax in the reading corner or around the room during some free time and just relax!
