Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

BHS is currently the only school in the parish to house a competitive esports team. We currently rank #2 in the State and #7 in the Region. Our students excel in class but also in the digital field. This program allows most of our students an opportunity to turn something they are usually very good at, into an educational, team building opportunity. This will allow them further opportunities in many STEM related fields in the future as most colleges now house competitive esports teams and offer very substantial scholarships for players lucky enough to make them. The students need the XBox Series S system and 3 controllers which will allow my Esports team to expand its selection of competitive games and bring new students into the sport.
