Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The vast majority of our senior class will be the first members of their families to attend college! Almost all of our students are children of immigrants or immigrants themselves, who are well on their way to achieving the American dream and making a difference in the world.
The grit and determination that our students possess has propelled them to beat the odds and take the next steps in their educational career, going to college!
They have now been accepted to colleges around the country and are ready to make the decision of where they are going to attend!
My Project
Our students have overcome all of the challenges that they have had to encounter and are officially on their way to college!! Our College Signing Day will be a special day that our students and their families will remember in the years to come. It is a chance for them to celebrate with friends and family.
We will be holding a special "press conference" in which every student will have the opportunity to announce to their peers and family where they will be attending college next year.
The current state of our multipurpose room is cold and uninviting. Receiving the resources needed for this project will turn our MPR into a warm and inviting place making both the parents and students feel special in celebrating their achievements!!
