My Students

Our first graders are engaged and enthusiastic learners. They are always excited to accept new challenges and work hard to reach their goals. They love to be creative and participate in centers.

We want children to be able to show their knowledge in creative ways.

Providing students with a range of materials will be hugely beneficial in this endeavor. We can't wait to see how excited the kids are to use new, exciting materials! Let's learn those Sight Words! Thanks!

My Project

First graders work hard to master sight words. The materials we are requesting will allow our students to practice reading and spelling these important high-frequency words. Children will be given various materials to choose from as they participate in their Word Work centers. The letter stamps, snap together letters, and Magic boards will allow children to show us their work without the traditional pencil/paper assignment.

We feel these fun materials will motivate students and help them be successful!

Children enjoy choices, and having a selection of materials to choose from will help engage the students beyond flashcard practice! Thank you!
