My Students

"Enthusiasm Ignites Greatness" This is a quote in my classroom and I truly believe it. The more we do as teachers to make learning exciting and fun, the more the students will be eager to learn something new.

Our school is a huge family.

Staff and students relate to each other in many ways. To some students we as teachers may be the only guidance they will ever have. So we take our jobs very seriously but we love to have fun too. In our area the college graduate percentage is very low at 23%. So to create exciting lessons and new innovative ways of learning is a must.

My Project

I am requesting the digital camera because we, as a school, are trying to "Go Green" as well as become more technology savvy! Instead of students writing a journal entry on paper every day they take their infant simulators home, I want them to reflect on their experience in a more modern way. They will be creating a video journal/movie of their time spent with the infant simulators. This way everyone in the class can see first hand what each student went through during their time doing the parenting assignment instead of just me as their teacher.

This is so important to my students because I let them decide what they needed in their classroom to make learning more fun and they chose technology.

So if that's what they want, I think it's my job to help them get it. And as donors you should feel proud that you are helping out our future leaders!
